EU Entry/Exit System (ESS)
Travel for US citizens to the EU and within the Schengen nations will change starting October 12, 2025. With the new Entry/Exit System (ESS) passports will no longer be manually stamped and travelers will be required to comply with providing biometrics such as a facial photo and fingerprints.
