Answers To Put You at Ease

We encourage you to schedule a 30-minute discovery call with Janine, the owner of Together in Tuscany, to get to know her and make sure the trip is the right fit for you.
Her calendar is available on the Contact Us page of our website. -
Our tours and retreats are for women (likely midlife or beyond) who crave connection, are culturally curious, and are seeking self-care or self-discovery. Our tours and retreats are for women who seek a balance of relaxation, enrichment, and authentic Italian experiences within a supportive community.
We also provide mixed gender tours and private group tours. -
We understand. It’s hard to put a price tag on the transformational experience you’ll have when you travel with us. We curate experiences that go far beyond typical tours. Consider that you’ll be traveling in intimate groups of 8–14 guests which means more boutique experiences, private tours, flexibility, and more genuine connection with the other guests and locals you’ll meet along the way. You will also stay in homes filled with history, beauty, and the comforts you deserve. Unpack once. No hopping around from hotel to hotel.
Not to mention, only $500 is required to save your spot. The remaining balances are due 150 and 120 days before the trip. We can also work with you on a payment plan customized to your needs (e.g., monthly payment plan).
-
You’re not alone. That’s why we offer and encourage you to schedule a 1:1 call with us so you can get to know us better and determine if this is right for you. Once our trips start to fill up we schedule virtual meet-ups so the guests can get to know each other pre-trip and we can answer questions in real time.
And our personal touch doesn’t stop there, we are present when you arrive and accompany you for the entire tour.
-
When you’re on our retreats and tours, you may be traveling solo but you are not alone. You are part of a supportive community of other like-hearted women. You will get to know the other guests through our pre-trip virtual meet-ups and WhatsApp group chat, so when you arrive, you will already see some familiar faces. We’ll welcome you warmly, whether you arrive with a friend or are traveling solo.
-
It could be daunting navigating international travel, especially if you’re traveling solo. We will work with you to determine the best airport to fly into, the best flight times and if needed, how to purchase train tickets in advance. If you want to visit Florence or Rome before joining us in Tuscany we can help with that too. Our drivers are there to meet you at the pick-up point to take you to the villa. As seasoned international travelers, we are experts at the logistics and will help you get there.

Each tour or retreat has a description and itinerary overview on our website as well as our WeTravel booking site.

Yes, each trip will typically need to meet a minimum of 8 guests for it to continue as planned and scheduled. In cases where the minimum requirement is different, it will be stated in the tour description.
If a trip is cancelled due to the minimum not being met, all guests will have the option to either receive full refunds for their payments made toward the trip or apply the funds to a future trip.
-
Due to the nature of our business, we need to immediately use collected funds to pay for the villa, drivers and activities. Therefore, we are unable to provide refunds to guests once a payment is made, unless a trip is cancelled by Together in Tuscany due to minimum guest count not being met.
Only $500 is required for a deposit and then payments are made in 2 additional installments before the trip.We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance at the time of booking in the unlikely event you need to cancel your travel plans for any reason.
-
You should be moderately fit to stand, walk, climb steps and carry your own luggage up steps. Please let us know if you need any type of accommodation to participate in the activities outlined in the itinerary.
-
We recommend you only pack what you can carry on your own and that you do not pack anything sentimental or valuable. Carry-on luggage is strongly recommended versus large suitcases. The villas have washers and dryers.
Your luggage is your own responsibility while traveling, so the less you have, the easier it is to manage.
We will send a suggested packing list before the trip.
-
We highly recommend you purchase adequate and comprehensive travel insurance. The policy should cover you in the event of accident or illness, provide medical coverage, loss of luggage, trip cancellation, etc. Together in Tuscany will not be responsible for coverage of these events. We suggest you shop around for the coverage that best fits your needs and evaluate coverage you may already have with your credit card, health insurance, or homeowners’ policies.
-
Yes, you can have your own room! Our villas have many different room options and configurations. You can choose to stay in a shared room or to have your own private room. The room selections are determined on a first come, first served basis at the time of booking.
-
Yes we encourage you to speak to previous guests who have been on our tours or retreats. Schedule a call with Janine and she’ll provide this information to you.
You are encouraged to also read our testimonials on our website and the reviews on our WeTravel booking site. -
Should you or someone else get sick during your trip, we will help you access appropriate medical care as quickly as possible. At that point you will be responsible for following the advice of local health authorities. We will not be able to provide any refund, even if the trip is interrupted. You (or your travel insurance) will need to cover any expenses incurred for medical treatment, testing, medication or self-isolation.
-
The villa chefs and most restaurants will cater to all dietary restrictions. However, we want our guests to be aware that Italian cuisine has a strong focus on dairy products and use of eggs in cooking, which is sometimes difficult to adjust for on an individual basis.
-
We recommend you have a passport that doesn’t expire 6 months prior to the trip start date. U.S. residents should also go to www.state.gov for information regarding international travel.
-
This is a personal preference, however, I recommend you use an in-country bank ATM upon arrival and withdraw 200 euros. Most restaurants and shops accept credit cards.
-
Yes, Janine goes on all the trips with her guests so you can feel comfort in knowing that someone will be with you at all times who knows the itinerary.
-
Although the villa is in the countryside, you do not need to rent a car. We provide transportation to and from the villa throughout your stay.
-
Yes, the villas are equipped with a washing machine for our guests to do their laundry. There are typically no driers in Italy but some villas do have them.
There is no laundry facility for the Portugal trip.
